Let the memory of these Robins be with us forever.
It’s is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of beloved Roffey Robins members. We pay tribute to our fallen Robins by remembering their everlasting presence at our club.
Remembered and never forgotten.
Tony Spence

Tony was a massive Chelsea supporter who had a season ticket in the Matthew Harding lower stand travelling all around the world watching his beloved Chelsea. He took over as the manager of Roffey Robins after a few seasons and managed until the last two years with his son already captaining the team it made sense to him to step up and manage the team.
He did the same for daughter’s age group managing the girls team. He was hoping his youngest Grandson Rupert who is already football training with kixx to eventually head to a Roffey Robins team.

Dave gave so much of himself to others, and who leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and love at Roffey Robins FC.
Dave devoted his life to helping people. Whether through teaching, social work, charity committees, or his many roles with Roffey Robins, he poured his time and energy into making life better for those around him. When Dave was involved, things happened. He was practical, reliable, and above all, compassionate.
But Dave’s service to others wasn’t just about what he did — it was about who he was. He was the kind of person you could always turn to. If you needed help, Dave was there. If you needed someone to talk to, Dave was there. If you needed a laugh, Dave was there. He had a way of making people feel seen, heard, and valued.
Even during his time in hospital, Dave’s true character shone through. One of the doctors remarked that when people are in hospital, their personalities often become amplified. For Dave, that meant one thing: his warmth and kindness only grew stronger. Every single member of staff said the same thing — “Dave smiles at everyone and is a perfect gentleman.” That was Dave to the very end.
Those who knew him best will remember not only his dedication and his humour, but also his gentle strength. He was steady in difficult times, joyful in good times, and he gave so freely of himself without ever asking for anything in return.
We mourn his loss, we also give thanks. Thanks for the laughter he brought, the guidance he gave, and the love he shared. His example will remain with us: to live with kindness, to be there for one another, and to meet life’s challenges with a smile.
Though Dave is no longer with us in person, the impact he made at Roffey Robins FC will live on at the club. His was a life of service, friendship, and love — and for that, we are deeply grateful.
